Mission Monthly
Summer, 2025
From Luke 14:17: “.....the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”
Notes from the Vicar:
This summer there are two months with 5 Sundays, so I would like for us to hold our coffee hours at Scoop du Jour on June 29 and August 31. I would hope that this would help to increase our visibility in the Chatham community.
I have been given two different books by members of the congregation that will serve as subjects for discussion during our coffee hours this summer.
On Tuesday, May 27, St. Mary's suffered a devastating loss with the passing of our beloved Deacon Tom. Of course, he was a Deacon in TEC, but he was also a Deacon in our hearts. DeaconTom was a vital part of St. Mary's Mission as well.
Her was a member of our church council and he also served as St. Mary's treasurer for many years. But most important to me, he was my source of information on church history, church tradition, liturgy; you name it, he was my go-to-guy, I will miss him terribly. May he REST IN PEACE and RISE IN GLORY!
---Fr. Tom
